VINTAGE WASHBURN PARLOR GUITAR TONK BROS CO 1928 MARTIN STRINGS

Description

A vintage  Washburn Parlor guitar. Marked genuine Washburn , Tonk bros Chicago. I believe this instrument is from the 1920s.
Probably around 1928, when it acquired the Washburn brand from Lyon & Healy
.  On the inside of heal of neck, looks like 5201 stamped in black ink. In smaller numbers 1031 or 61 hard to see. The body is probably a spruce top. Looks like a type of X bracing under front of top. The body is bound. Maybe mahogany back and sides. Relatively crack free I see one little bruise lower right bout. I believe it was stripped or wiped down at one point. The body is 13" lower bout, 9 1/2" upper bout. The length of body is 19". From upper nut to lower bridge is approx 24". The lower bridge has had screws put in it and reglued, from where the body has pulled up a bit at one time. The action on this guitar is as shown , I have always played it with a slide, although sometimes I have played it normal. It has Martin silver wound gut strings on it. Looks like one button on tuners had been reglued at some point. There are some lite scratches as shown, it is 100 years old.   No case will be packed well.
