Up for sale is a vintage crystal covered mustard jar in the “Cape Cod” pattern by Imperial Glass! Imperial started making the Cape Cod pattern in 1932, and it’s one of their most collectible patterns. The diamond pointed bands and the shapes in the glass really catch and reflect the light beautifully! This mustard jar is a beauty! It has diamond pointed knob on the lid, and the base is six sided. It stands about 3 1/2 inches high with the lid in place, and it measures 3 1/4 inches in diameter. There's a cutout in the lid for a spoon. There's just one very small flaw - around the spoon cutout there's one pinhead-sized flake around the edge. That's it! Otherwise, this mustard jar is immaculate - no chips, cracks, bites or other damage, and the glass is nice and shiny bright – no residue stains, scratches, oxidation, or other marks whatsoever. It's absolutely guaranteed to be vintage – not reproduction or new glass. Photos of the Cape Cod pattern can be found in Coe's "Elegant Glass - Early, Depression & Beyond", or in Gene Florence’s “Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era”. I have other pieces of the Cape Cod pattern for sale in other auctions, so be sure to take a look! The buyer will pay shipping (and insurance if desired). Shipping will be combined for the buyer of more than one item whenever practical. Shipping is normally within 24 hours after receipt of PayPal payment (if other payment options are desired, please don’t hesitate to inquire). Please feel free to e-mail any other questions or requests for additional photos, and thanks very much for looking!!
