  • Exact Year: 1972
  • Model: D25
  • Body Type: Dreadnought

He installed a bridge doctor as well to help fix a spot on the top which was bellying. Cosmetically, the guitar has a small amount of seam separation on the back of the instrument and some wear where it looks the finish may have faded due to an adhesive of some kind. While the guitar has some wear and small dings on the body of the instrument, they do not affect the playability of the instrument and the one is still great. Please see the attached photos.

    Product description
Vintage 1972 Guild D-25 Flat Top Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Natural w/ Original Hard Case
Here's a vintage, flat top dreadnought Guild D25 acoustic guitar from 1972 directly from a full check up with our luthier. While Guild still makes quality acoustic guitars to this day, there is no doubt that these older, vintage instruments exude a visual & sonic aesthetic which include a wonderful, balanced warm, full-bodied tone when you play them.
This guitar comes in its original hard case and the solid mahogany body is in great condition. Our luthier installed a Bridge Doctor to help level out the slight belly that previously existed in the flat top and this axe is now ready to rip!

    CONDITION:
Instrument is in very good overall condition, in our opinion. Our luthier gave this a full pro set-up, including polishing the fretboard and oiling the tuners. He installed a Bridge Doctor as well to help lift a slight bellying condition between the sound hole & the bridge.
Cosmetically, the guitar has a small amount of seam separation on the back of the instrument. It also looks as if the finish on the back may have disintegrated due to an adhesive of some kind being applied at some prior point in time. While the guitar has some wear and small dings on the body of the instrument, they do not affect the playability of the instrument and this one still performs well. Please see the attached photos.
    DIMENSIONS:
    Body is 42" long x 15 3/4" wide x 4" deep; scale length is 24 1/2" long x 1 3/4" wide at the 1st fret, 2" wide at the 12th fret, & 2 1/8" wide at the 17th fret.
Nut measures 1 and 11/16" wide.
Guitar weighs in at a very light 4lbs, 7 oz.
    NOTES:
This instrument is ready to play in any capacity the player wishes. This instrument would give a great deal of pleasure to a collector, a player, or a professional.

**SPECIAL NOTE: It is with a very heavy heart that we wish to share the news of the recent passing on Dec 6, 2020, of our almost 12 year old red & white beagle, our beloved Ace. He was our mascot and namesake of our shop on Reverb.com. He gave us the initial inspiration to sign up with Reverb.com, primarily due to the name that we chose to use on this fantastic website. He was also the chief of security & official greeter for our bricks & mortar shop, always ready to engage with the customers; tail wagging, always happy & forever on the lookout for any ingestible treats that our customers wished to share with him as well as a nice butt or belly rub.
Ace is, and will continue to be, very sorely missed by all who knew him. Our shop will never be the same without his presence. But, his intense spirit and joie de vivre lives on, through our loving memories of him and also via this wonderful platform online. Love the heck out of ya, Acie!!
