Small Hand Forged Slater Slate Splitting Chisel. Measuring 6 3/8" long, the edge is 1 15/16" wide, and this weighs 5 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. There is some frosting and a few spots of light pitting, but nothing too bad. The edge is good and was dressed recently. There is some light mushrooming on the sides. The striking button has some light dings, but no cracks that I can see. I gotta say, that these small ones are sure getting hard to find and especially in this kind of shape. A working and collectible old slate tool for sure!
