An exceptional, fine and impressive antique French 9 karat yellow gold thimble; an addition to our diverse range of collectable antiques
This exceptional antique French 9k yellow gold thimble has a cylindrical tapering shaped form.
The crown of this 9k gold thimble is embellished with a continuous pitted design above impressive alternating panels of scrolling leaf decoration.
This antique gold thimble is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.
Condition
This antique gold thimble is an exceptional gauge of gold, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
The engraved decoration is very crisp.
The original box is in excellent presentation condition.
The French eagle guarantee mark to the surface of the thimble is very clear; the hallmark is struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of gold.
