    D-21
    Natural Gloss Finish
    Brazilian Rosewood Back and Sides
    Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
    Used - Good Condition
    Featuring a Brazilian rosewood back and sides, this vintage Martin is a many of players dream dread!  The solid spruce top has had a replacement strip of spruce joined into the treble side edge by a professional luthier.  Like you would expect from a Martin from this era, you get a guitar that solidly constructed out of top quality material and will deliver the rich, woody tone that only a vintage Martin can achieve.  And also, like you would expect from any American made guitar from the '60s, you get the charm and character of a guitar that was well loved and well-played with all the scars, blemishes, lacquer checking, and humidity cracks, plus there are two thin cracks in the top on the bass side of the lower bout.  These vintage Martins are rapidly becoming more rare and their price tag is forever increasing, so don't miss your chance to add this one to your collection of rarities!
    Cosmetic and Functionality Description
    Body:
    there is a replacement piece of spruce that was professionally joined into the top along the treble side edge; t
    here are two thin cracks in the top on the bass side of the lower bout;
    typical blemishes for a guitar of this vintage can be seen on the top, back, and sides--
    scuff marks, scratches, dings, and dents, as well as lacquer wear from years of playing, some chips in the lacquer, and plenty of checking
    ;
    the tortoise shell binding around the top and back has some small dings to be found as well as an obvious hole in the top treble side;
    the tortoise pickguard looks like it has "shrunk" just a little bit
    Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock:
    the fretboard looks amazing except for some extremely shallow "dips" before the first 8 frets; the back of the neck has plenty of scuff marks, scratches, and shallow dings and dents as well as chips and general wear in the finish, however these should not affect comfort or playability; the headstock has some easily noticeable wear in the finish and some obvious scuff marks, scratches, and scrapes that can be seen on the front, back, and sides
    Action and Playability:
    the action is about medium, plus the neck is straight and the bridge is not lifting of the soundboard; there is no heel separation either
    Frets:
    moderate to heavy wear with some small grooves in the mid to lower frets, however there is no buzzing or fret out at this time
    Hardware:
    the tuners show a little bit of tarnishing, but function flawlessly; the strap hook on the neck heel is not original

    acoustic guitar (case/gig bag not included)
